Ocean Baths

If you visit Newcastle you have to take a walk through the Ocean Baths, this is located near the city centre and was opened in 1922. Beautiful beaches can be found here for having a beautiful and relaxing time.

Soldiers Baths

Is situated below Fort Scratchley, is a group of ocean pools in a rock platform, very good view and a paradise for beach lovers.


the Nobbys Peninsula is an amazing place you must visit, the beach with same name is the favorite place for many visitors who have their vacations in Newcastle, the Nobbys Lighthouse, an important icon is also here.

The Foreshore

In this area can be seen the Boat Harbour that was constructed in 1866 and it hosts the Pilot Station and the Tug Wharf. All this area has a historical heritage of times where Newcastle was an important industrial port, for coal export and heavy industry.

Queen's Wharf

You can reach to Queen's Wharf going through the Wharf Road, there is a splendid view of the Hunter River and all the city from the observation tower, there are also pubs, cafes and restaurants in this area one of them is the Queens Wharf Brewery, the pub produce its own beer and has s very beautiful harbour view.
