Drinking in Australia

Australia has many venues for having a drink as bars, clubs, cafés, nightclubs and taverns. Most of them are visited in a major part by men and offer good wine and beer to their clients, open all night until early in the morning but opening hours can vary from state to state, you'll find many of these establishments comfortable, warm and friendly.

Some bars organize big concerts with popular bands and many people come to enjoy, some other prefer to keep a friendly environment but in any of these you'll feel ok, the favorite days for Australians to have fun are friday and saturday.

In some parts of Australia alcohol is not sold in supermarkets or grocery stores, and most times you need an ID to buy one but there are some liquor stores also known as off-licenses or bottle shops.
