City Botanic Gardens

The Brisbane Botanic Gardens are about a 15 minute drive from the city centre. The Brisbane Botanic Gardens officially opened in 1976. The plant collections include a series of distinctly different gardens arranged in themes and geographical displays.


Newstead House

This house dates from 1846, and is considered Brisbane's oldest surviving residence, is located in a peaceful park and has a beautiful view of the Brisbane River. The house has a Victorian period style, a very elegant place that remains the Brisbane's history.
