January

Sydney Festival - a cultural festival, with music concerts, dance performances, theatre and many outdoor activities. This festival lasts three weeks and more than 500 artists come to Sydney each year.

Montsalvat Jazz Festival - This festival takes place in Vistoria region on the Montsalvat Estate.

Tamworth Country Music Festival - in Tamworth, New South Wales.

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras - takes place in New South Wales, a colourful and extravagant gay parade at the end of February.

National Multicultural Festival - dance, theater, music art festival in Canberra, there is also excellent food.

Perth International Arts Festival - this is West Australia's major and oldest festival, for a month film, drama, music, theater, music artists show their best performances here.

Bindoon Rock Festival - A music festival in Bindoon, West Australia.

Adelaide Bank Festival of Arts - One of the best arts festival, is a large-scale festival.

Ten Days on the Island - takes place in Tasmania and in 50 locations across it.

Barossa Valley Vintage Festival - the German traditions are shown in this festival.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival - a big meeting for comics from every part of Australia and around the world.

Bangtail Muster - takes place in Alice Springs.

June

Melbourne International Film Festival - a very popular film festival, the best one in Australia, lasts two weeks.

Sydney International Film Festival - another important festival, takes place in the State Theatre.

Barunga Sports Festival - an aboriginal culture festivaks, if you want to know more about aboriginal people come and see this festival.

Cape York Aboriginal Dance Festival - in Queensland, lasting three days this is an authentic Aboriginal culture festival.
