Museums and the State Library

The State Library

Is situated in North Terrace, and is an excellent source of information about historical facts, or reading the books or surfing in the internet. The building is an impressive contruction that shows a fine architecture. General tours of the library take place on Tuesdays at 11a.



South Australian Museum

Was founded in 1856 and is situated in North Terrace, this museum hosts the the largest collection of Indigenous Australian artefacts in the world. http://www.samuseum.sa.gov.au



Migration Museum

Situated in Central Adelaide this Museum focuses on cultural diversity of more than 100 different nationalities who have migrated to South Australia. The objects put on display show the stories of South Australians, different age groups and a wide range of experiences.


Australian Aboriginal Cultures Gallery

With over 3000 items on display in an interactive setting, the Gallery showcases the largest collection of Australian Aboriginal artefacts and archival material in the world.
